Advanced Rider Training

Yesterday, I took the ART through Team Oregon.
I first heard about this class several months ago from a personal friend who runs Team Oregon, Then again at last months WOW chapter gathering, Hanna mentioned she was going.....Hanna....where were you?

We worked on cornering, linking corners and much more. They helped us to stop rapidly, both in straight lines and again in corners...whiich was challenging. Obstacle avoidance with swerving and braking was a lot of fun and I found myself really gaining skill in just a few exercises. Linking corners and aproaching corners in a different way was enlightening.

The class size was small, about 14 riders to 4 instructors. A good ratio for attention and safety. I took an instructor passenger ride to see how he approached some of the situations. It was great being a passenger and feeling what he did instead of just following. Lots of nuances to study.
I am not so arogant to think that I had nothing to learn, BUT, I was really surprised at how much I would learn and how an intensive work out with me, my bike, and skilled instructors would benefit my riding.

I would strongly recomend this class to anyone who wants to increase their proficiency. Check the Team Oregon website for classes....
